tumblr can be an exceptionally lonely place, especially now that it's being used as a social media platform more and more and you may come across lots of daily asks, interactions & constant mutual reblogs on your dash. I get it!! it's like standing in a corner, watching this big group of friends you'll never be a part of

I've been there, I still feel there sometimes, although I've been lucky enough (found people like pom and T that shared their affection and support from day one) I longed for those dynamics, I wanted so badly to feel included, to have more people to talk to and interact with my content. it's better now, mostly because I've been brave and I've followed more people and I try to talk to them at the risk of being perceived as annoying or, idk, pushy. I'm sure someone may think I'm those things and it's understandable lol

anyway, this big ass post just to say: if you're someone who feels lonely on here, not seen or ignored, please know there's at least one person who understands. there are sooo many bigger, popular blogs I come across on my dash every single day and deliberately choose not to follow for my own sake, because I know they'll only make me feel marginalized (not their responsibility! it's just how my brain works!)

so I just hope you know you're never the problem and it's okay if you don't have many friends here yet and it's okay if you're too shy to reach out. you'll find a balance and I promise you're appreciated. also this is the internet, it doesn't mean anything, there's a whole world out there go get some sun go get a coffee buy some flowers smell the rain you know all that jazz
